Earthy Warmth in Vaughan.

The Client was completely redesigning their main floor and wanted to relocate their new water-vapour fireplace to the opposite side of the house from where the original wood-burning brick fireplace was built. We closed off and demolished the old fireplace and mantel and built a whole new feature wall. For this, the new wall was framed for the insert box and stone feature wall, plumbing and electrical run for the insert and outlets removed to avoid any disruption to the panelling on either side of the stone. The sintered-stone slabs were custom templated, cut and installed, followed by the slatted panelling and black tiling to make the fire “pop”. No glass is needed with these fireplaces as the water-vapour is not hot to the touch.
