Natural Fire & Stone

The Client wanted to update the look of their fireplace and family room to match the modern look and feel of the rest of their home, while keeping their wood-burning fireplace insert. We suggested they consider Dekton for this project given its heat-resistance and the availability of slabs with the “concrete-like” look that they were going for. We demolished the existing mantel and hearth, insetting the new hearth to be level with their hardwood floor for a more seamless design, and book matching two slabs to run consistent veining across the front, sides and returns of the fireplace. We paired this with a floor to ceiling mirror and stone to enlarge the perceived size of the room while creating a feature wall for the Client’s bar area.

One of the owners comes to the house, measures, and tells you what your room realistically takes — in time and in money. Show us this page while we are there; it is faster than describing a wall out loud.
